Book Your Dog’s Stay
New to DogJoy? Start with a quick Tryout Day so we can place your dog in the right boarding program.
This Isn’t Traditional Boarding
Most boarding facilities focus on housing dogs.
DogJoy focuses on how dogs behave, interact, and feel while they’re here.
We combine structured play, enrichment, and daily manners reinforcement to create an environment where dogs:
- Stay active and mentally engaged
- Learn to listen around distractions
- Build better social behavior
- Experience less stress while away from home
Dogs here don’t just stay, they practice better behavior every day.

A Typical Day at DogJoy
Your dog’s day is built around structure, balance, and engagement.
Daily Rhythm Includes:
- Structured play sessions (for social dogs)
- Enrichment and mental stimulation
- Supervised rest and recovery time
- Calm, private sleep in their own room
Dogs aren’t left to entertain themselves. They’re guided, engaged, and given time to reset.
Your dog’s day is structured to balance activity, rest, and comfort.
Dogs typically rotate through outdoor play and enrichment throughout the day with a mid-day nap in their private room with calming music, lights out, and animal-approved essential oils diffusing. During active hours, they enjoy time outside, social interaction (if appropriate), and engagement with staff.
In the late evening, after more early-evening outdoor play and enrichment, the environment shifts to calm and quiet. Dogs settle into their private rooms, with lights dimmed, calming music playing, and animal-approved essential oils diffusing to help them relax and sleep comfortably.
Our goal is simple: your dog leaves well-exercised, well-rested, and less stressed, not overstimulated.
Comfortable, Private, and Designed for Dogs
Every dog has their own private room with access to a patio and mini-yard.
During rest periods:
- Lights are dimmed
- Calming music is played
- A relaxed environment is maintained
- Animal-approved calming essential oils are diffused during nap and nighttime.
- Guillotine doors to patios are closed for safety and to keep heat and A/C in.
Dogs can rest inside or choose their outdoor space, giving them control and comfort during their stay.
What Makes This Different:
- No constant barking environments
- No long kennel confinement
- No cold, sterile runs
This is a structured, home-like environment designed to reduce stress.

What to Bring for Boarding
To keep your dog comfortable and maintain consistency, here’s what we recommend bringing:
Food
If your dog eats raw, or any other special diet, please package their food in individual pre-measured servings labeled with your dog’s name. Please DO NOT bring us your dog’s entire bag of dog food or your large plastic food container. We do not have the room to store it all. Please re-bag what your dog will need, plus an extra day, in large ziplocks or put in single serving bags labeled with your dog’s name. DO NOT bring any bowls or food dishes. We provide stainless steel bowls for your dog’s visit. Exceptions are made for slow-feed bowls (please label with your dog’s name).

Medications
If medication needs to be given, it must be in the original bottle, labeled with what the medication is and the dosage required, and have your dog’s first and last name written on the bottle. We require this information for identification to ensure the safety and well-being of every dog in our care when prescription medications are on the premises. Please include a measuring device, if applicable.
Toys & Comfort Items
We can provide a comfy elevated bed at your request and elevated beds are included in all of our boarding add-on packages. We can provide blankets to dogs that do not chew bedding, but a blanket, towel, or t-shirt that smells like home is a great comfort! We are unable to accept dog beds that can not fit in a small washing machine without being taken apart. For safety reasons, we DO NOT accept the following items: Rawhide, rope toys, or tennis balls.
If you have questions about what to bring, our team will guide you before your stay!
